I love this exercise I used it with great success with corporate teams who needed to think beyond their established parameters. The results always exceeded expectation. Most importantly it was FUN and allowed for lots of playful thinking.<\/p>\n
There are more people ready to help us realize our dreams than we know.<\/p>\n
Make a list of all the people you greatly admire and respect.<\/p>\n
They don\u2019t have to be living and you don\u2019t have to know them personally\u00a0 – I’ve used Mother Teresa, Oprah Winfrey, Hilary Clinton, Deepak Chopra, Dr Seuss\u00a0and\u00a0Steve Jobs among others.<\/p>\n
Narrow the list down to your Top 5. These people are about to become your personal advisors.<\/p>\n
Invite them into your imagination.<\/p>\n
Ask each one for a statement in response to:<\/p>\n
What advice would you give me?<\/p>\n
What do I need to l know?<\/p>\n
What is my next step?<\/p>\n
The secret to this is not to think too hard and accept the first thing that pops into your head. Write down all responses.<\/p>\n
Review and decide which ones to save.<\/p>\n
Post in place where you will see.<\/p>\n
