I think we all should become DREAM testers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

[The older we get the more fear prevents us from following our dreams]<\/em><\/p>\n

That’s my personal hypothesis. It\u2019s based on many conversations with women about pursuing their dreams in Life Part II.<\/p>\n

It always starts on a high. There are the tell tale twinkles in the eyes and pure joy unleashes itself in the passion filled words. They are talking about what they\u2019ve always wanted to do<\/em>. Talk about being lit from within. It\u2019s beautiful.<\/p>\n

\u201cGo. Do. That.\u201d<\/em> I urge.<\/p>\n

[Pause]<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d really like to\u2026but\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

I squeeze my eyes shut in an attempt to block \u2026.. I know what\u2019s coming after the but<\/em>\u2026.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2026..it probably wouldn\u2019t work out.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Nooooooo<\/em>. I scream internally<\/p>\n

Another amazing dream that would have provided joy, fulfillment and growth bites the dust. Just like that. Tossed aside; rendered lifeless.<\/p>\n

Ugh. Fear provides successful block. Dreams aren\u2019t supposed to work out \u2013 right?<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t go there.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Listen Up.\u00a0 Chances are it\u2019s not<\/em> going to work out exactly as you envision it.<\/p>\n

It (actually) has a huge probability of working out better.<\/p>\n

Humour me for a few seconds. \u00a0Imagine yourself a lab scientist. \u00a0You\u2019ve got your clip board and very cool looking goggles on.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re testing something in your lab called DREAM.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no such thing as failure in the lab. Right? Some things work out and some don\u2019t. As a scientist you\u2019re excited just to test and test and test some more.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THAT\u2019S what we want to strive for as we pursue (or rather) test<\/em> our dreams. We want to integrate our dream testing <\/em>experiences into our everyday lives so it just becomes a part of who we are and what we do. In reality we\u2019re inching our way closer to the DREAM every day. Meanwhile we\u2019re not focused on succeeding or failing or any outcomes at all for that matter we\u2019re just testing<\/em> and having FUN!<\/p>\n

Do it<\/p><\/div>\n

So here\u2019s my challenge to You\u2026.Life Part II Dream Chasers. Instead of the word \u2018pursue\u2019 insert \u2018test\u2019. Take that dream out. Dust it off. Take it into lab. Think of yourself as a DREAM Scientist. Start testing (all in the interest of science of course)!<\/p>\n

I bet it feels different.<\/p>\n

Focusing on the big DREAM and specific outcomes that accompany it \u00a0inspires the fear of failure and disappointment and also locks us into thinking there is only one way to get there. When we all know <\/em>there are a million ways to get anywhere. Thinking of testing<\/em> our dreams vs pursing them immediately removes pressure and expectation and that ghastly fear of failure. It brings back the FUN (remember that?) allowing us to reap the joy in each step\u2026every day.<\/p>\n

Once testing begins the dream will begin to evolve and take shape. The funny thing is, that often means in a bigger, richer way than what you\u2019re imagining right now.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let the testing begin!<\/p>\n
