Usually it takes a dramatic event or crisis to trigger the process. Now we know that a pair of crazy red shoes will do it. Better yet we can consciously engage in activities that create shifts or at least prompt gentle nudges from our cozy place of habitual habits and old beliefs allowing us to see the world with NEW eyes.<\/p>\n
Got 30 Days? That\u2019s all it takes. Working as a corporate consultant I used 30 Day Challenges with great success. These month long campaigns helped organizations create a shift in thinking or implement change in ways that were engaging and FUN.<\/p>\n
Change is difficult. It represents the unknown and the unfamiliar. The path is unlit and it has no discernible end. OK…<\/i> It\u2019s terrifying!\u00a0But 30 days…sounds like an adventure. Anyone can do anything for 30 days, right?<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the kicker… 30 Days of consistent, intentional action is all we need to instill a new behaviour or way of thinking.\u00a0To begin the rediscovering process we have to nudge ourselves from the entrenched, familiar places we reside in. As comfortable as it is it limits growth and allows only one view of the world—the one we\u2019ve always seen.<\/p>\n
For 30 Days, our intention is to wake up parts of ourselves, notice new aspects of the world and cause a tiny……shift!<\/p>\n
Create a 30 Day Board \u2013 and display it in a prominent place where you will SEE it every day.<\/p>\n
I make these a lot! I use the month-at-a-glance perforated desk pads from office supply stores. I tear one off and position on the wall behind my computer. You could also use a sheet of poster board (you may still<\/i> have some of that stuff lurking around).<\/p>\n
