Could a pair of shoes really trigger a (re)discovery of my fearless self at mid life?<\/h2>\n

This post was one of the first to appear on the Red Shoe Zone in 2013. Now almost 3 years later I can tell you that profound inspiration can come from the most unlikely places…. even shoes! The journey the red shoes triggered is still alive and well. Red Shoe readership is around the world and I’m in the process of deepening its reach. I am forever grateful for the red ‘messengers’ and have come to understand that messages and miracles surround us. The challenge is to see them.<\/p>\n

It seemed ridiculous. I mean there are traditional paths like retreats, books and professionals for those things. Still there was no denying that big lessons and ones I needed to hear were delivered by the crazy red shoes.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the message to review and throw out limiting beliefs had come before, albeit through a different medium, but I hadn\u2019t felt its impact or acted.<\/p>\n

This time I was ready; open and searching. I had been for months, as I contemplated the second half of my life. Was I serving and impacting the world the way I wanted to? What was my purpose?<\/p>\n

I knew I wanted to be vital, contributing and jumping out of bed each morning excited to take on the day!\u00a0 Now that\u2019s a vision. I patted myself on the back \u2013 you-go-girl!<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s where it stopped\u2026.until the red shoes entered my life<\/p>\n

Now I\u2019m getting it\u2026. There was a bright spirit hidden inside me\u2026…or maybe the word is trapped<\/i>?<\/p>\n

Trapped in old beliefs and old ideas no wonder I wasn\u2019t getting any answers to my NEW questions!<\/p>\n

The red shoes ignited a little flame that has erupted into a full fledged blaze.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m inspired to keep going. I want to know WHO I am (now) and what my PURPOSE is. I want to make sure the second half of my life is just a rich as the first but in different ways.<\/p>\n

I have no idea exactly where I\u2019m headed but I\u2019m totally excited to be in motion. I feel FREE!<\/p>\n
