{"id":2109,"date":"2013-06-27T06:37:07","date_gmt":"2013-06-27T13:37:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/redshoezone.ca\/?p=2109"},"modified":"2016-04-16T14:12:16","modified_gmt":"2016-04-16T21:12:16","slug":"make-a-vision-board-change-your-life","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ohmywordjournal.com\/redshoezone\/make-a-vision-board-change-your-life\/","title":{"rendered":"Make a vision board &#8211; Change your life"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The big work is done.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ve grappled with and<b> <\/b>rolled your eyes over the simplicity of the exercise &#8230;I know&#8230; but damn if it doesn\u2019t work!<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the last step making a Vision Board.<\/p>\n<p><b>What you\u2019ll need:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Foam, poster or cork board, scissors, glue and (push pins if using cork).<\/p>\n<p>OR you can join <a href=\"http:\/\/pinterest.com\/\">Pinterest<\/a> and create a pinboard online.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m\u00a0\u00a0<em>low<\/em> tech and like the crafty process of cutting and gluing it feels therapeutic and playful.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect all images, quotes and words<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Cut<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Assemble on board<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>During this part I had flashes of insight several times as I moved the images and words around. More than once I went searching for additional material and each time the vision became more refined. I played with my board for a few days and made changes and adjustments. One day I looked at it and thought \u2018this is IT\u2019 &#8212; \u00a0I glued.\u00a0 I propped it up right beside my computer screen. After a few days I made an addition, a small phrase that \u2018popped\u2019 into my head, made my heart beat faster and seemed to connect the whole thing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Now that\u2019s its done &#8212;-I\u2019ll let it go &#8212;I won\u2019t try to force, push or shove things into place&#8230;.I trust it will all unfold in a natural order whatever that may be.<\/p>\n<p>You know the most curious thing?\u00a0 Some people put the board away once it\u2019s complete, many file it after a period of time and others will leave it out permanently. Interestingly, it doesn\u2019t seem to matter what you choose to do.\u00a0 The most important part of a vision board is the process of creating it.<\/p>\n<p>Over the years I\u2019ve heard lots of stories of vision boards.
